At Canadian Prairie Garden Puree Products Inc our goal is to be the best in the industry at capturing the wholesomeness of vegetables. And we are making it happen. Here is our story.
Kelly Beaulieu, who founded Canadian Prairie Garden, grew up as a member of the Sandy Bay First Nations in Manitoba, Canada. With her family’s priority on education, she became a professional Agrologist through her BSc in Agriculture and credentials earned from the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists.
Always an innovator and champion of Manitoba prairie farmers, Kelly was determined to establish in the province the processing capability that would capture the superior quality of the area’s vegetable crops. She imagined innovation in the processing and preservation of this locally grown produce so that the food industry in Canada and around the world would have new healthy ingredients with which to delight consumers.
And so the idea of Canadian Prairie Garden Puree Products Inc was born. Her passion for this project and her can-do attitude for surmounting the challenges faced by entrepreneurs sustained Kelly during the 10 years it took for her to realize her vision. In January 2014, the plant was certified as an aseptic processing facility by the FDA and CFIA with these scientists acknowledging the important innovation that had been accomplished by this visionary, Kelly.
The processing plant in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba houses breakthrough technology leveraging direct steam injection to achieve full cook/sterilization in 4-20 seconds. The fresh, raw vegetables from local growers are without compare. The aseptic packed purees are low acid and without any additional ingredients or preservatives. Kelly has built a team of experts in food processing, food science, lean manufacturing, nutrition, marketing, sales and logistics and we are making it happen…..Pure and Simple!

Innovator & Entrepreneur - Kelly Beaulieu grew up as a member of the Sandy Bay First Nations in Manitoba, Canada. In her family, striving for educational and professional excellence was the priority. She delivered on those expectations with both a BA (English and History), a BSc in Agriculture (Horticulture) and the Professional Agrologist credentials earned from the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists.
Equipped with these credentials and firsthand experience in crops and cattle from her formative years on the family farm, Kelly's career has included the University of Manitoba, Manitoba Pool Elevators, the Canadian Wheat Board, the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute, and Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation.

And so the idea of Canadian Prairie Garden Puree Products Inc was born. Her passion for this project and her can-do attitude for surmounting the challenges that face entrepreneurs have made her vision a reality.
Vice President - Sales and Marketing
Helen Ann Dillon, RD has extensive business experience spanning 20+ years in the food industry. She has honed her skill set in strategic planning, marketing and sales in leadership roles in the corporate environment of the Campbell Soup Company, entrepreneurial environments including the successful start up company, Diet Care Puree Inc, and in the not for profit environment including the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research.
Her understanding of marketplace trends and product development through to product launch has resulted in the success of a number of industry leading projects focused on delivering taste, nutrition and overall consumer appeal.
Mike's experience of over 10 years in leadership roles within the manufacturing sector equips him well to be CPGPP's VP of Operations of Canadian Prairie Garden's state of the art aseptic processing facility. What attracted him to CPGPP was the breakthrough processing technology, the company's priority on green operations and the superior quality of the finished products. He brings lean manufacturing credentials (he has a Green Belt) to the operations managing all aspects from sourcing raw vegetables to shipping finished product. Mike will be joining the CPGPP sales team for Prairie Garden Puree showcases at trade shows and looks forward to keeping this personal connection with end users of the aseptic purees being produced by CPGPP.
